Biography

"Through this music I can see/maybe I could be/the one who/the one who saves me" Drew Mantia sings to conclude the opening track of his debut album, "Save Yourself." Upon writing these lyrics Drew found inspiration for the album title, which is meant to invite listeners to find the way in which they "save" themselves.

With 'Save Yourself" Drew hopes to bring to the world his soulful and funky take on rock and pop and a lyrical style that is known to be clever and catchy. Drew first captured this sound in a demo recorded throughout the winter of 2006 and spring of 2007. This demo, which included now fan-favorite "Drama (Bring it Down)," was a slow process. The demo never reached completion, but what tracks did come from the sessions were enough to attract some attention and a record deal with St. Louis based label 12 Bar Records.

Drew made his first live appearance with his friends/bandmates in April 2007, exactly one year before the completion of 'Save Yourself" for 12 Bar Records. Keep your ears open for the sounds of 'Save Yourself" spring/summer of 2008.
